Honey and Skincare

Hey moms, in the beauty world, September is Honey month…so what are the benefits honey do for the skin…let’s chat about it (if you are NOT vegan of course).

Benefits

1.       Honey is a natural humectant (drying moisture from air and deeper levels of skin for hydration) so it helps to moisturize resulting in softer, hydrated skin.

2.       Honey is a natural antioxidant (helping to protect the skin’s layer from oxidative damage) which fights free radicals…so it helps with reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

3.       Honey is a natural exfoliator and anti-bacterial so it helps to remove dirt, bacteria and debris that may clog pores.

4.       Honey is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, so it helps to reduce the bacteria that causes those pesky pimples, blackheads and whiteheads AND it causes the redness and inflammation that said pesky breakouts cause.

Wanna add some custom-made honey skincare products, here are some suggestions.

·         Cleanser and exfoliator

·         Face mask

·         Body scrub

·         Bath Soak

If you are mom who is trying to start a skincare routine and incorporate healthy products for yourself (and I guess your family as well, seeing how we NEVER forget about them), be sure to email me here so that I can help you.  Never travel the skincare journey alone.  Being a mom is already overwhelming, don’t add your skincare to that list.
